At RoastPapa AI (accessible via roastpapa.com), the privacy and data security of our visitors and users are of paramount importance to us. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that is received and collected by RoastPapa and how it is used.

1. Ephemeral Voice & Audio Processing (No Permanent Audio Storage)

RoastPapa is a real-time conversational AI roast application. To provide real-time interactive audio roasts:

• Your microphone input is processed ephemerally in real-time.
• Audio data is streamed directly to Google's Gemini Live API service for transcription and conversational response generation.
• We do not record, store, sell, or archive your voice data or transcripts on our servers. Once the audio chunk is processed and delivered back, it is discarded immediately.

2. Camera and Vision Data

If you choose to enable the video camera feature, video frames are processed strictly in real-time on client request to allow the AI to observe your background or expressions. No video frames, photographs, or recordings are ever saved or stored on our servers.

3. Local Storage and BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

RoastPapa provides a "Bring Your Own Key" option for maximum user privacy. If you choose to supply your personal Google Gemini API key:

• Your API key is stored strictly on your local device using your web browser's localStorage.
• Your key is never sent to our servers, databases, or any third party except Google's official API endpoints for authentication.
• You can remove or edit your key at any time in the app settings.

4. Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website, RoastPapa uses cookies to remember basic preferences (such as your acceptance of the terms of service and audio settings). Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to RoastPapa and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

5. Third-Party Services and Advertising Partners

Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on RoastPapa. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. RoastPapa has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

6. Children's Information

RoastPapa does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately.
